How do I receive 15 minute on the job training credit?

Verify with your supervisor that you completed the training: have your supervisor sign the 844 and turn the 844 into IST for entry into your record.

How can I make a suggestion in curriculum?

Are the Commission Meetings open to the public?

Yes. The public is encouraged to attend the Commission Meetings in order to gain an understanding of the training and curriculum of California’s Correctional Peace Officers.

What is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and how do I become one?

A Subject Matter Expert (SME) is an individual with at least three years of experience in an institution, who is recognized as exhibiting the highest level of expertise in performing a specialized job, task, or skill within an organization. If you feel that you meet the qualifications and are interested in becoming a SME, please fill out the attached qualifications and application.
