The Commission on Correctional Peace Officer Standards and Training (CPOST) is charged to approve standards of training in the carrying and use of firearms for correctional peace officers for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. We are conducting a national survey of Corrections Departments to review current policies and procedures and assess national “best practices.”
In that regard, we are requesting that your agency complete the attached survey and forward it to our researchers at CPOST.Mailbox@cdcr.ca.gov.
